The Karystion Hotel is located on a tree-lined, park promontory overlooking the sea. At the park’s westernmost boundary, a Venetian tower stands at the edge of Karystos. The town (population: 5000), some 400 meters from the hotel, sits midway on a horseshoe-shaped bay whose pristine, undeveloped beaches stretch some twelve miles to the east and west. Our three-floor hotel, built in 1965, was discerningly renovated in 2002. The ground floor reception and lobby open onto a lower, well-appointed breakfast/dining area and a post-modern, elegantly furnished lounge with a discreet cafe-bar.
